Week 5: MAKE-UP

Awkward selfies galore

Make-up week has been an adventure! Between work, dates, going to my weekly class, and helping with a non-profit, I’ve been glad to have put aside the time to do my makeup (and actually put effort into it). It’s nice to know that I”m looking presentable for everything that’s been going on. I’m not one to do my makeup everyday, but I really did notice that knowing I looked good, helped me to have more confidence and be a bit more outspoken. I’ve realized how much having the right tools can make getting ready SO much easier and faster! Also, I did my first unboxing this week! My lovely mom sent me a Boxycharm box this week when she heard what I was up to-so thanks Mom! P.S. Please ignore the bad lighting in the video-and my awkward selfies, it’s been fun!

Week 6: History & Patriotism *Happy fourth of July*

I know this weeks theme was quite random; my family’s history of patriotism focused on the fourth of July. It was definitely random, but also exactly what I needed! Sometimes, it can get so hard to connect to events, holidays, places…but hearing stories of my parents and grandparents celebrating the same things I celebrate brings with it a sense of belonging in a crazy world. I love my country, I’m grateful for my heritage that celebrates and honors it, and I hope I can continue to live the values that others fight for, and that I’ve been raised with. Happy fourth of July everyone, I’m so grateful for the freedoms that I’ve been given!

Week 4: Meal Planning & Healthy Eating

Zuchinni Noodles:

This week was all about eating healthy, and being prepared to make better choices! I’ve really come to understand the importance of planning ahead. When I had everything set aside and the ingredients ready it was easy to make a delicious healthy meal!

On the other hand, when I had a recipe in mind, but nothing set aside, the meat still frozen, it was so hard to get things going (especially working two jobs), enough so that I prepped for tomorrow, and got Subway for dinner. Meal planning is a lot harder than it looks, but also infinitely easier as long as you put in the work and prepare! Here’s to better days!

Week 3: Run a 5k

I forgot to take a picture right away, so this is me eating a creamy 🙂

This week was so fun, it definitely reminded me that I can do hard things! I don’t prioritize working out as much as I should, and dedicating so much of my time this week to my physical health, and working towards a goal, really helped me look at my self and come to the conclusion that I can do better. I really hope to keep making time in my schedule to exercise more, and to take care of my body. I also really loved the time that I had to think, ponder, and to just BE. Here’s to a new week!

Week 2: Vision Board

It’s finished! This week was honestly so enlightening getting everything ready for my vision board. While it’s not something I really think about, affirmations and visualization have been used by Olympic athletes, successful business men, and even some celebrities. Preparing for this I really wanted to focus on the most important aspects of my life, and try to use these tools to better myself and work towards improving my family life, finances, my career… I really tried to reflect on what I personally need to work on, I’ll keep you posted on how this goes! I’m about to go hang this on my wall, but thanks for all of the positive comments this week!

Week 1: Introducing myself:

Hi, I’m Kristin

I actually struggled a bit with introducing myself to all y’all. I’m not used to sharing myself with strangers, but the more I did it, the easier it became. I’m 26, I’m getting gray hairs, I love Coca-Cola (huge understatement), I tell dad jokes on the regular, I’m a huge nerd, and I love my family. I love to be kind, to help people, I’m terrible at lying, I love to bake, and so much more. There is so much to a person, and I hope I can continue to show you who I am going on this adventure with you.
